Speller Metcalfe, Worcester Square.
Client: Speller Metcalfe
Area: Worcester Square, Worcester.
Requirements: Independent access scaffold and internal birdcage.
Airwright provided Speller Metcalfe with an external perimeter independent access scaffold to enable glazing works to a glass atrium. Due to the awkwardness of access to the atrium, which was positioned on a roof approximately 10m high, all materials were carried and passed through the internal of the building onto the main roof.
A birdcage was also erected internally to provide fall protection for the operatives installing the new atrium glazing. All works were completed on a weekend at the clients request due to a limited notice period to ensure that the works were completed on programme.
