Screen Shot 2017 09 05 at 10.40.43 1024x579 - Reasons Why You Should Choose An NASC MemberFounded in 1945 the National Access & Scaffolding Confederation (“NASC”), is the number one national trade body for access and scaffolding in the UK.  It produces a wide range of industry-recognised, and leading, safety and technical guidance for scaffolding contractors, their operatives and their clients, and is accepted as the industry standard by HSE, Build UK, CITB & principal contractors alike.

It currently serves a family of more than 230 leading contracting firms, scaffolding manufacturers and businesses.  And guess what?  We are one of those firms.  And are very proud to be so.

We are an experienced contract scaffolding company based in Redditch, Worcestershire, and serve the Midlands and surrounding areas.  Our specialist areas are in housing, construction, maintenance and bespoke scaffolding design.

We have been established for over 6 years now and our team has over 10 years’ experience on the front line of the scaffolding industry.  Whilst we are experts in our field, we ensure that we continue to learn, and are always keen to ensure that the business, its services, and its people are on the top of their game.  Our NASC membership is just one thing that goes to prove this commitment.

So, you are in safe hands; as – in short – the NASC only allow those businesses who adhere to a strict set of guidelines to be members.  Its members are strictly audited and have to adhere to its Code of Conduct and Practice, ensuring that only the highest standards are met, and are then practiced.  This membership proves that Airwright is committed to being safe, regulated, compliant, qualified and professional.

This ‘badge of honour’ means that you can #TrustAirwright.  Amongst other things, it confirms quickly to our clients and potential clients, that:

  • We have been trading for at least 2 full years;
  • We hold adequate levels of insurance;
  • We provide satisfactory Health & Safety policy statements and meet current Health & Safety legislation;
  • All of our management and supervisors are directly employed. In fact 100% of our yard and site operatives are also directly employed;
  • We produce evidence of how the company manages and supervises its workforce effectively;
  • We register all of our site employees to the Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme (CISRS) training programme;
  • We produce a detailed record of industry-recognised training and a plan for its continuation;
  • We are Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) registered;
  • We are audited by the NASC every year;
  • We operate terms and conditions of employment in accordance with agreements reached by the Construction Industry Joint Council (CIJC); and
  • We have direct access to NASC specialist advice in (amongst others) areas of tax, training, health & safety etc.

We are one of the largest independent scaffolding contractors in the Midlands.  We do not rely on subcontractors and are committed to providing the best service possible.  We are working with some of the region’s finest, from the likes of Taylor Wimpey to Barratt Homes and St. Modwen and would be delighted to work with you.
