Airwright Midland Quarterly Review

We’ve had a successful first quarter to the year here at Airwright Midland, further strengthening our position as one of the leading scaffolding suppliers in the region. From training to investment in new equipment, Airwright Midland is a company that never stands still.  Since the beginning of 2018 so much has happened, including:

In January, scaffolder Lee Hastings was awarded a certificate by client Mulberry Homes for his excellent standards in workmanship on their site. As we continue to invest in training, Jake Evans, Tyler Guy & Cameron James all started their apprenticeships, and we are on the look out for more!

In February one of our trainee scaffolders, Bradley Maxwell, finished his apprenticeship and we also made one new appointment, as Anthony Balfour joined us as Contracts Manager. Also in March, to accommodate our ever-growing team, we invested in two new vans.

During April we have all been supporting our Managing Director, Ben, who is soon to run the London Marathon on behalf of our ‘Charity of the Year’, Scope.  We held a fundraising event earlier this month, raising over £1000 which will be matched by Airwright Midland.

We also won an amazing 9 new contracts to the value of over £1.5m in the first quarter of 2018 where we will help build 300 new homes and deliver scaffolding solutions for a range of other construction projects:

• New client Amber REI Holdings in Baswich where they are building 10 new homes
• Bellway Homes are a brand new client and we will be providing scaffolding for the construction of 76 new homes
• GF Tomlinson are also a new client and we will be helping them build a new bakery and five new foods units for Leicester Bakery
• Another new client, Interclass Plc have asked us to supply scaffolding solutions for their Renault dealership in Solihull
• One of our existing clients, Newland Homes, are building 33 new homes in Toddington, for which we are supplying scaffolding
• St Modwen is a longstanding client of ours and we are supplying scaffolding to enable them to build 70 new homes at Wantage, and another 113 new plots at Uttoxeter.
• Xplor Projects are yet another new client where we will be working with them to build 2 new units
• And finally, another new client, CKC D & B who we are providing scaffolding to help them build some brand new apartment blocks!
